AN ARRAY OF THRESHOLDS
The idea is to keep the center of the masterplan intact and create thresholds in the landscape that not only help create transitions within the landscape but also hold all the built components together. Each threshold would help indicate movement within the site and distinguish between activities in its quadrants. The buildings here would then function as free-standing pavilions in this array of garden thresholds

The Community Food Forest is envisioned as a landscape-led masterplan where the central core remains open and intact, forming the heart of the site. Around this core, a series of carefully designed landscape thresholds create transitions that guide movement and define the character of each quadrant.

These thresholds act as spatial connectors, stitching together the built and unbuilt elements while subtly distinguishing zones of activity across the site. Movement through the landscape becomes an experience of unfolding layers, where pathways, planting, and open courts mark shifts in use and atmosphere.
Within this framework, the built components are conceived as free-standing pavilions, set lightly within an array of garden thresholds. Together, they create a cohesive environment where architecture and landscape operate as one, fostering community interaction, cultivation, and shared experience
