Sky Court
Conceived as a sky court, this terrace garden transforms the rooftop into an intimate urban retreat suspended above the city. The design is rooted in the experience of arrival, where the sky is intentionally concealed through dense, layered planting, allowing it to reveal itself only upon stepping onto the terrace.
The planting strategy draws from the character of a thick, forest-like canopy, creating a sense of immersion and enclosure. Rich foliage, varying heights, and layered textures evoke the feeling of moving through a compact woodland, where the city recedes and nature takes over.
Located in Bengaluru, a city celebrated for its climate and green identity, the garden responds to the local context by extending the city’s historic relationship with landscape into the vertical realm. The result is a terrace that offers a moment of pause, where architecture, planting, and sky come together as a single spatial experience
